…And I freaking love massage therapy!
The human body blows my mind; how smart it is, how it adapts, and how it carries us through life in all its weird and wonderful ways. I love being able to work with people to help them feel more at home in their bodies. That might mean easing pain and tension, finding some relief from stress, or providing a moment of stillness to breathe and be cared for.
My therapeutic approach is that of listening and facilitation. I go with what your body is telling me in the moment! I listen, respond, and work with it, not against it. I try and balance tissue manipulation while keeping things gentle and soothing on the nervous system. I use different techniques ranging from superficial relaxing to deep tissue and sports massage. More than anything, I want you to feel comfortable. Both me and the Capricorn studio are not super stiff or clinical. I want to cultivate a space where you can settle in and feel taken care of while also taking care of your body.
I’m also a huge body nerd, so if you ever wanna chat about muscles, movement, or why the human body is basically magic, I’m all in. (Fun fact: I was my class valedictorian 💅, I’m a personal trainer, and I’m heading to osteopathy school in 2026!)
When I’m not working, you’ll find me laughing loudly with friends, making music, picking things up and putting them at the gym and goofing around with my dog and partner.

IS MY STYLE RIGHT FOR YOU?
What I do best:
I focus on targeted therapeutic massage with lots of relaxation techniques. Ideal if you’re dealing with a specific pain or tension spot, either through accumulated physical stressors or injury. I use focused, intentional pressure and techniques to release the specific issue while also working on compensating structures. I try to make my massage a good mixture of both techniques to ease your nervous system into a sense of safety, which helps the muscle relax and release.
I love myofascial release. This is a lotion-less or very little lostion, gentle, sustained pressure technique that focuses on the connective tissue vs the muscles. It looks a bit different than your average massage but it awesome for chronic pain, nervous system issues or if traditional massage hasn’t worked great for you.
What I don’t provide:
I’m not great at heavy, “very deep tissue”, painful pressure or a therapeutic full body sessions. In those cases, I may recommend other modalities or therapists that are a better fit. Although my sessions tend to be pretty sensational, I don’t believe in the whole “no pain, no gain” thing and work to provide sessions that are effective and safe, for your body and mine! That balance is what allows me to give my best work to every client, every time.

SPECIFIC THERAPUTIC + SPECIALITY MASSAGE
My sessions are a mixture of Swedish massage, myofascial release and sports massage, all delivered with compassionate, relaxing care. My depth is moderate to deep, with a focus on tissue presentation and clients comfort. All massages are tailored to each client and their needs! I also offer a few “speciality massages”, which are sessions focused on a certain technique/style or specific body area, such as a focused TMJ treatment.
SLIDING SCALE
I believe everyone should have access to care, which is why I offered a lower price point for the folks who need it. You are welcome to choose to pay less without shame, as I am able to provide this services to the folks who need it. You can find these on the regular booking page along side the other treatments .
SUPPORT FOR VARIOUS ISSUES
Massage can aid in treating a variety of issues such as: strain/sprains, arthritis, carpal tunnel, tennis elbow, TMJD, plantar fasciitis, headaches, postural concerns, sciatica, low back pain and so much more!
ACCESSIBILITY
My clinic is up a one set of stairs and unfortunately does not have wheelchair access. My massage table holds a weight of 900LB and can add extra bolsters for width of about 40″. I am down to accommodate any extra sensory needs or expand the table, which you can ask for in your intake or email me for any other questions or requests!
PRENATAL MASSAGE
I love supporting expecting parents and birthing bodies! I provide the same tailored, specific care as a regular massage but with with an understanding of the unique needs and safety concerns of a pregnant body. Expect lots of pillows and targeted relief (maybe even some snoring!)

Striding to provide an inclusive, and affirming space for queer-identified individuals to address their unique health concerns. Whether you’re seeking relief from the physical effects of chest binding, care and support following gender-affirming surgeries, assistance with injection site tension, or just wanting to vibe with someone who understands queerness, I’m here to help!
PRICING AND POLICIES
PRICING
30 min massage – $57.50 + hst
60 min massage – $115 + hst
90 min massage – $172.50 + hst
All appointments have 15 minutes of “off table” time added for home care, debrief, exercises etc. This is to ensure there is no rushing for both the client and therapist and that I can spend more time focused on you!
POLICIES
Cancellations require 24 hours noticed. Cancellations or no show fees are 50% of appointment price for first time occurrences, and 100% after the second time. A credit card is required to book, ensuring that my time is respected and the sessions are paid for!
BILLING
I direct bill to Blue cross, Canada Life, Chamber of Commerce, Desjardins, GroupHealth and VAC (for VAC, please email me for pre-authorization).
I can direct bill to any Telus Insurance company; if its not listed above, just ask!
Clients can pay by debt, e-transfer, cash or using credit card on file.
MVA clients are welcome but you must be assessment by a physiotherapist before treatment. I do not treat clients on workers comp.

For new clients, I require a credit card to book for administration reasons and to ensure no-shows are covered. If your gift card holding special someone does not wish to follow this procedure, simply get them to send me an email and I’ll book there appointment for them.

Louise (she/her) is a white, queer bodyworker, grateful to be living and working as a treaty person in this beautiful place, on the ancestral and unceded Territory of the Mi’kmaq People.
She holds a diploma of Osteopathy, with distinction, from the Collège D’Études Ostéopathiques after completing their 5 year program at the Halifax campus. She is also an Honours graduate of the Canadian College of Massage & Hydrotherapy and has been practicing massage therapy since 2019.
Louise’s approach to treatment is rooted in the body’s wisdom and innate healing capacity. She values working together to understand the story of your body, layering assessment and an unfolding deep listening to treat the whole person and the root causes of pain.
Her treatments tend the interrelationships of the many systems of our body – musculoskeletal, fascial, craniosacral, fluidic, visceral, neurological, psycho-emotional – to release tension, strain patterns and the impacts of force, and support integration in the body. Louise treats a broad spectrum of conditions and manifestations of pain, as well as people of all ages.
Louise comes to this work grounded in the complexities and transformational possibilities of our bodies. She understands bodywork to be essential to personal and community healing, and works to practice from trauma-informed and politicized bodywork frameworks, working towards the roots of how our individual and collective experiences manifest in our bodies. She is committed to making her practice a space for queer, trans, two-spirit and non-binary bodies, Black, Brown and Indigenous bodies, fat bodies, disabled bodies. She strives for accessibility and dignity for all and is humbled to be working in fierce celebration of each person’s physical, emotional and spiritual embodiment and aliveness.
Louise loves to talk about bodies and weaves learning about anatomy and somatics into time with clients. Her learning is shaped by Biodynamic Osteopathy, embryology, neurophysiology of trauma, Focusing, and Embodied Ancestral Inquiry. She is deeply rooted in and trusts the ordinary magic of our beings.
